Interactive Artists
Interactive Artists connects performers and visual artists with the people who come to see them and
the venues that host them, while the performance is happening. A fan in the room, or watching from
home, can request a song, follow the camera angle the band is pointing at, and tip the artist. The
artist sees requests arrive live and works through them from the stage. The venue takes table
orders and service calls in the same app.
Interactive Artists is not publicly available yet. It is being modernised, and there is no open beta
at the moment.
Who it is for
- Artists: musicians who perform and broadcast, and visual artists who exhibit and
sell their work.
- Fans: anyone at a show or watching one, who wants to request, react, tip and follow.
- Venues: bars, cafés, galleries and other places that host artists and serve
customers.
Things everyone has
- An account. Sign up with an email address, or log in with a Google or Facebook account. One
account can be a fan, manage one or more artists, and manage one or more venues. A forgotten password is reset with a single-use link that
lasts an hour.
- Following. Following an artist or venue tells you about their events. A follow gives them no
personal information about you.
- Favourites. Marking an artist or venue as a favourite is for your own filtering and sorting,
and it is not shared with them.
- Mailing lists. Joining an artist's mailing list does share your name and email address with
them, so they can write to you directly.
- Languages. The app is available in ten languages.
Status of each feature
Each page says which features work in the app today and which are designed but not yet reachable
from it. The designed features are described in full, because the design itself is part of what
this documentation records.
